A space to create, breathe and reconnect with the earth.
A space to create, breathe and reconnect with the earth. The Atelier de Esther is an open space for creation and exploration with ceramics, right in the rural heart of Asturias. Here it is not just about learning techniques, but about living a process: the process of meeting your hands, the clay and the present moment.

About

About
THE ATELIER
More than nine years ago, a visit to a friend led me to discover the beauty of the Asturian land. It was an instant crush that pushed me to leave my previous life behind and settle in a small village in Llanes to bring my artistic activity to life.
I found an old stone stable, one of those that dot the Asturian villages, with wooden beams, thick walls and a special light that came in through the windows. I knew instantly that something could happen there. I restored it with care, respecting its essence, and turned it into a pottery workshop with its own soul. Today, that space is the Atelier: a place where silence invites you to create, where the smell of clay mixes with the country air, and where each piece holds a little piece of this unique environment.
I am Esther Benajes, and I have created this experience for women and men who feel that their daily routine steals time from what really matters.
After more than 15 years exploring different techniques, it was pottery that gave me a deep connection with the earth and a mental stillness from which my work emerges. Creating with my hands became a way to heal and reconnect with myself.
Today I share this space with you. It doesn’t matter if you come to learn, to disconnect or simply to spend a different afternoon. There is a place for you here.
